Ana has more than 25 years of experience as a senior banker of global investments in New York, London, and São Paulo and more than 15 years' experience in venture capital investments. Before founding A10, Ana was the Head of Latin American Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs in New York. In 2007, she was one of four executive directors that Goldman assigned to Brazil to build its banking operations in local markets. Ana was also the Head of Investment Banking for Latin American Consumer and Healthcare at Barclays in São Paulo. Prior to that, she also occupied a senior position in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in London and New York for more than eight years, having led the team that carried the privatization of Vale in the 1990s.
As a venture capitalist, Ana co-founded an internet portal that was sold to Starmedia in the beginning of 2000. Later, she drew strategies for boards of media and technology companies (Lojas Americanas.com - later merged into B2W - Turner Broadcasting Latin American and ViaVarejo.com).
Throughout her career, Ana coordinated more than 110 capital market operations, totaling about $150 billion. Five deals were recognized with the prestigious IFR "Deal of the Year" Award, including the Privatization of Vale in 1996 and the partial sale of the Brazilian government stake in Petrobras in 2000.
Ana finished her MBA at Columbia Business School and has a masters in finance from London Business School. Currently, she serves on the Columbia University Global Council.
Ana was one of the 40 original co-founders of Grupo Mulheres do Brasil with Luiza Trajano. The Group is the largest leadership organization in Brazil, with over 105,000 active women members, with the goal of organizing women's impact in the construction of a better Brazil. The Grupo Mulheres do Brasil has over 100 centers in Brazil and is present in more than 15 countries.
